The Evolution of an Extraordinary Woman

Twenty-six years ago on April 15, 1990, in Paris, France an amazing soul's born. Her name is Emma Charlotta Duerre Watson. Kids born in the early '90's may know her as Hermoine Granger as that was one of her first major roles in the movie series, Harry Potter. While she is well known for this role, she was in several other movies including The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Tale of Despereaux, and more recently, Beauty and the Beast. As Emma Watson matured, her roles also matured- growing up in the Hollywood spotlight.

As I had mentioned previously, many ’90’s children (who now are most likely adults) know Emma from her role as Hermoine Granger from the Harry Potter series. This role landed Emma eight movies and sixty million dollars (click here for proof...). With the first movie coming out when she was nine years old and the last one coming out this year, that is a sizable amount of money for someone so young. On top of that, this is only from one movie franchise she was in!

In addition to all of the amazing movies Emma plays in, she is also a model and an activist for feminism, most notably as a UN Goodwill Ambassador for HeForShe. In this organization, she for men and women equality. In her fashion career, she works with a fair-trade label, People Tree and models for Burberry and Lancome.

In Emma’s personal life, she attended Brown University from 2009 to 2014 where she obtained a degree in English. She also spent some time at Worcester College as an exchange student.

At the age of twenty-six years old, Emma Watson has a net worth of seventy billion dollars. She is a good role model for many young children out there. I feel this way because she puts a good image for herself out there and shows children they can do anything if they work hard at it. I cannot wait to see what else she has to deliver for us in the world of fashion and entertainment.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
