When I walk around campus, I am very aware of what other girls are wearing. Some girls dress to kill and look effortlessly chic making their way to their 9 a.m. geology lab. Others are slaying game days in the fall, and somehow have perfect contours and flawless lipstick. One thing I have noticed are the fashion trends that have been popular since I've been in college. Granted, I come from an area that is pretty affluent, I was still surprised at the expensive yet seemingly common items I saw on a day to day basis. Maybe these trends are purely a southern thing, or maybe even just an occurrence at Auburn, but I see these items by the thousands every week. So if you're a girl trying to step up your fashion game, a senior in high school looking to make a splash come fall, or maybe even a boyfriend looking for gift ideas, take some notes.

1. Chacos

People love to hate on Chacos. Either you love them or hate them. Personally I think that they are comfortable, easy to wash and perfect for hiking outdoors.

2. Wooly Threads

If you are in a sorority, chances are you own one of these pullovers. They are only sold wholesale and they're pretty expensive which makes them even more exciting and to wear.

3. Monogrammed Baseball Cap

What do you do when you wake up 10 minutes late to class and have no time to shower? Just throw on one of these bad boys and show the world that you're an athletic, yet classy dry shampoo wearer.

4. True Grit Jacket

These things are so ridiculously soft. I'm pretty sure you could wear one during a Russian winter and you wouldn't feel a thing.

5. Large Srat T-Shirt

By the time college is over, you will most likely accumulate hundreds of these shirts. They take you back to some of the best (or worst) memories of your college careers, whether it be formals, socials or swaps.

6. Kendra Scott Earrings

So trendy and so colorful, these earrings can be worn on game days, to formals or even as a casual day look.

7. Over Sized Ray Bans

The essential accessory- these glasses can help hide those bags under your eyes, look good in car selfies and cover up last night's makeup.

8. Lululemon Yoga Pants

Whether or not you actually go to the gym, these yoga pants are seen all around campus from dorm rooms to the rec.

9. Wrap Necklace

I don't know how these necklaces came to be, but you can find them in about 30 Instagram pictures on any given Friday night.

10. White High Top Converse

These are party shoes. I've seen them worn with dresses, shorts and most likely to a bar or frat house with a floor covered in who knows what. You'll protect your pedicure, but you might never want to pick them up again.

11. Mini Kate Spade Purse

Kate Spade bags are a status symbol, these smaller ones show that you can afford a nice bag, but you're still low-key about carrying it around.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.

Brooke Davis

"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Brilliant, and beautiful, and brave. In two years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I'm not sure she even knows it." - Lucas Scott, An Unkindness of Ravens

Brooke Davis of the hit show One Tree Hill was the it girl - she had it all, or so we thought. She started out as a stuck-up, shallow, spoiled, head cheerleader who didn't have her life together. She slept around a lot and loved to party - sounds like your typical high school teenager right? Wrong. B. Davis had so much more to offer. Caring, loyal, and outspoken, she has taught us some valuable lessons throughout the 9 seasons that OTH was on the air:

We all have a person, and when that person makes some new friends, we tend to forget all the great things that can come out of it. Never forget how special they are to you and why you are best friends.
