The End Of The Semester As Told By 'Glee'

The end of the semester is approaching for college students across the nation, and there are a lot of emotions associated with this time of year. Here is the cast of Glee to describe what you’re probably feeling during this time of year:

1. When you realize you can count the number of weeks left on one hand

2. But the assignments start piling up

3. And your professors start talking about finals

4. When you start packing your car even though there are still two weeks to go

5. And you spend way too long watching Netflix instead of writing that paper because you “earned it"

6. When you need to say goodbye to your friends

7. But you also don’t want to because that’s sad

8. When you get out of your last class of the semester

9. And you put off studying until the night before your first final

10. Then you finish your last final

11. And you head home for the summer!

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated.
