From 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has captured our hearts, taking us from great heights in the Iron Man installments, through Captain America and Thor Films, as well as the Ant-Man and Spider-Man movies. But alas, all good things must come to an end.

In less than one month, we must conclude the series with Avengers: Endgame. This is a bittersweet revelation, as we have watched each character grow through the franchise. Marvel has presented us with over twenty films in the MCU, introducing new characters and growing into the series we now know and love.

Iron Man began our journey into the MCU, bringing us his powerful suits equipped with machinery to keep the world safe.. Although, once the power of one man was exposed, others came to test his endurance. Following this movie, we enter the movies of Thor and Captain America, a god and war hero. Eventually, we meet other characters in the Avengers films, including Black Widow, Hulk, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Vision, and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

In a recent installment, Avengers: Infinity War, the worlds of earth and space finally collide, as the heroes from earth meet the Guardians of the Galaxy. They must join forces to battle the nemesis, Thanos, who seeks to wipe out half of the population in an attempt to fix the survival ratio because of people who die from things that cannot be provided. In the film Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos admits, "When we [civilians of Titan] faced extinction, I offered a solution (genocide).. but random, fair to both rich and poor alike… with all six stones, I can snap my fingers and they would all cease to exist and I would call that mercy."

Most recently, Marvel presented us with a new character through the movie of Captain Marvel. In Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel will appear, as a final character in the MCU. Based on the ending of the installment Avengers: Infinity War, she will be an important role in the upcoming film.

Although the franchise has ended contracts with several actors and actresses recently, fans will be expecting to enjoy future films, including Spider-Man: Far From Home. Since several heroes have had movies of three, many are expecting another Ant-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

This universe is quite unique to our generation because they originated during our time. Much like the Star Wars universe, it came out during our parents time, which is perhaps unique and special to them. As fans, we should consider the MCU a special part to our time of living. Marvel has brought great enjoyment through the MCU to fans worldwide.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
