The End Of Finals As Told By Beyoncé
Alexander Hammer

Across the board, someone uttering the phrase "finals week" to any college student is enough to send chills down their spine. At the drop of those two fateful words, their minds immediately go to all-nighters, way too much coffee, and a seemingly endless array of assignments. Finals week is littered with a great deal of stress and a fair share of mental breakdowns. But then, the best part of finals happens: they end.

In all honesty, it's hard to imagine a better feeling than knowing that all of your papers, tests, and projects for the semester are behind you. It's like the weight of every problem in the world is suddenly lifted from your shoulders and you can just relax, and I mean really relax.

No more setting alarms for early morning classes. No more cramming as many assignments as possible into a planner. If you ask any college student who their one true love is, a lot of them will probably respond with winter break.

So, in the true spirit of celebrating the end of finals, here are some reaction gifs to them being over. And in the true spirit of all things good, they are told by none other than our queen, Beyoncé.

When you finish your last final and you walk out of the classroom:

Then, you realize that this means you won't have assignments and deadlines weighing you down for at least a few weeks:

And then you meet up with your crew and you find out they all finished finals, too:

Of course, y'all gotta get food to celebrate:

When you're about to go home, you make sure all your stuff is packed:

Getting into the car to leave campus, you're so excited. You're just like:

You drive away from your university and you're all:

Finally, you get home. Your family sees you for the first time since Thanksgiving and they couldn't be happier:

Once all your stuff is inside, you immediately change into comfy clothes because that's what the end of finals is all about:

Surrounded by good food, your pets, and loved ones, you sink into bed knowing that the time to relax is finally yours:

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
