The 11 Objectively Best Shades Of Blue

And by objective, I mean totally subjective to my taste.

Who likes blue? I like blue! Why do I like blue? I don't know. Maybe because my eyes are blue. It's a mystery. In equal parts because I like the color blue, and in protest of Odyssey Beta's low picture display quality, I present to you, in no particular order, my eleven favorite shades of blue. Enjoy!

1. 66:0:215.

This one is a nice classic blue. Not true blue, there's a little bit of red in there. Very vibrant and loud.

2. 41:84:152.

This blue is a blue very special to my heart. It's the blue used in the Microsoft Word program. As an English major, I spend a lot of time in this program, so the color is near and dear to my heart.

3. 61:107:235.

I'm not sure why I like this one. It's like sky blue, but not too light. You feel?

4. 0:172:237.

Anyone know where this blue comes from? Twitter! I've always been a fan of blues that don't use any reds. Twitter is one of those. Quality color.

5. 64:99:150.

This one is a little darker than other blues, but not too dark. Something you'd wear a shirt of maybe. Like, a water tone, but still somehow welcoming.

6. 54:70:93.

This blue is fairly faded. It's almost grayish in a way. Calming. It has very equal levels of red, green and blue, but it still remains very blue at first glance. This is the blue used by Tumblr.

7. 108:238:232.

Is that blue? is that purple? Technically, the strongest color is green in here. This color is mysterious, and I like it.

8. 210:219:233.

This is a very faint blue. Like a sky blue, but even lighter. This is the blue that is used as the background color in MS Paint, another program that is near and dear to my heart.

9. 0:80:160.

Do you recognize this blue? This is the blue used by Hilary Clinton's campaign. Notice the lack of any red (compensating for political alignment controversy maybe?), and the rounded numbers. It does a good job representing her political personality, and is a very American blue.

10. 41:124:191.

This is Bernie's blue. I felt it necessary to include his if I was including Hilary's. Another good blue. The numbers are a little scattered, and the values are an odd choice. It's like half way between Facebook and Twitter. Still a solid blue, though.

11. 59:89:152.

Who can talk about blue without including Facebook? This is Facebook's blue. Classic!

You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
