The easiest way to combat Acne

Acne is all something we all experience one way or another. It is something that causes so many insecurities but no matter what your skin looks like you are still truly beautiful and don't ever let someone tell you differently.

I've grown up with decently clear skin and then when college hit my acne was out to get me. I grew very insecure. I learned some crucial things that drastically changed the intensity of my acne. It isn't about all the acne creams and medicines, but it is easy and simple tasks we can all complete.

One thing to do is to cut out dairy as much as possible. Dairy is a huge reason people have acne and it's because the dairy reacts with the skin creating the acne. I used to have dairy all the time, I'd have yogurt every single day for breakfast, but I made one small change and noticed a difference. Instead of normal yogurt, I would eat almond milk yogurt. It tastes almost identical to normal yogurt, but it improved my skin exponentially. I still have dairy here and there but if I have a choice, I'll cut it out. No way am I ever cutting out pizza though.

Another thing that improves the skin is the intake of liquids. I know it sounds cliché, but I can assure you that drinking lots of water improves acne as well. The liquid flushes out all the toxins in your skin leaving it nice and clear. Plus, water helps more than just skin it helps keep you healthy and it helps in losing weight as well. Water is truly a life changer and even though it has no taste adding fruit makes it 10 times better.

Acne is something we all deal with and it is something that is part of being human so never tear yourself down because of acne. You are beautiful in every possible way and acne doesn't define your beauty, but these two tips can potentially help reduce some acne.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
