The Drums of War

"The drums thunder at the blast of the horn signaling the King's coming, and we ride with him into battle!"

The Drums of War

I hear the thunder in the air above, the quaking in the earth below; it be the sound of the drums of war; the sound of patriotism, the sound of the warrior’s roar!

May my enemies tremble, may they flee at the sound of the drums of war! My heart, regaining it’s strength, stands tall, and unleashes victory’s roar!

Blowing the General’s Horn, my heart unleashes it’s wrath! Guided under the hand of the Son of God, My King, I raise the Spear of God’s wrath!

To the beat of the drums of war, I march to meet my enemy face to face; much to my foes’ disgrace!

Sound the drums of war! My heart is making it’s advance! My enemies quake with fear; they could do nothing but glance.

Riding the Stallion of Victory, the drums intensify as the warrior from within emerges, and charges towards it’s enemy on the battle plains of glory!

To arms my brethren! Sound the drums once more! Awake from your slumber oh my heart, which had been torn by war! Raise the flag of triumph, raise the warrior’s cry, as I trample my enemies underfoot, until all of them die!

Rise oh warriors! The Lord of Hosts has gone ahead of you! Hear the sound of his march in the trees; the quaking of heaven’s drums in the deep! To battle oh my warriors! My heart advances with The Lord of Hosts! Smite your enemies! Look to the hills from whence comes your aid! The Lord of Redemption upon his Stallion of Salvation, his victory has been made!

To the sound of the General’s Horn, rush your foe oh my gallant heart! Conquer Death once and for all, see your enemies; how they fall!

One by one, my enemies meet my blade, thousands by thousands my enemies meet my Lord’s blade! To war my comrades! To battle my allies! Sound the General’s Horn! March in order! March in haste! To the cry of the warrior’s roar! March in rhythm to The Thunder of the Drums of War!

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
