The Dream I Will Never Tell Anyone About

You will always be the dream I want to protect, the dream I don’t want to jinx because of how beautiful it is, the dream that is engraved in my heart so no one tries to take it away from me.

You will always be the dream I want to protect, the dream I don’t want to jinx because of how beautiful it is, the dream that is engraved in my heart so no one tries to take it away from me. You’ll always be the dream I’ll keep wishing for every night before I sleep.

You will always be the dream I can’t say out loud because I’m afraid others might run after you, I don’t want anyone to know that you exist and I don’t want anyone to know why I can’t give up on you and I’m afraid if I tell them about you, they will fall in love with you too.

You will always be the dream that makes me forget about all my other dreams, the one who puts all my other dreams to shame, you’ll always be the real dream that I hide behind all my other dreams. You’ll always be the secret I don’t want to the expose and the treasure I don’t want anyone to find.

You will always be the dream that I’ll never get tired of asking for, the dream I want to dream every night, the dream I want to live every morning and the dream that keeps me dreaming.

You will always be the dream that I don’t share with my family or my friends because they will tell me I’m crazy and they will tell me to forget you – I don’t want them to belittle you and I don’t want them to wake me up from it. You’ll always be the dream I want to save from their criticism, from their judgment and from reality.

You will always be the dream I’m willing to fight for, the dream I’m willing to cross oceans for and the dream I’m willing to move mountains for. You’ll always be the dream that makes me believe I can do all these crazy things just to get to you and you’ll always be the dream that makes me believe in miracles – you’ll always be my miracle.

You will always be the dream that my reality revolves around, the dream that makes me write when I’m running out of words, the dream that makes sing when I can’t even hit the note, the dream that makes me dance when I can’t stand on my feet, the dream that keeps me smiling when my soul is weeping and you will always be the dream that makes me fight for my life when I feel like there is nothing left for me in this world to look forward to. You will be the dream I don’t want to wake up from.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.

Obsessive Thoughts Keep My Brain Stuck On A Loop And Me Stuck On My Couch

Sometimes my brain just starts turning on an idea and it doesn't want to stop.

I don't know if it is related to my anxiety, perfectionism or depression. I don't know why it happens. It's frustrating, it's painful and it stops me from functioning.

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.
