The Divided States Of Trump

The Divided States Of Trump

It was inevitable. Donald Trump grasped the Republican nomination but we all saw it coming during the last few months of primaries where he sped fast past Ted Cruz and John Kasich. As a Democrat, this is a sight for sore eyes: seeing this individual—who will surely bring our country into WWIII and worse—stand on this pedestal. Of course my party is trying to do everything they can to prevent this man from completely coming into power — whether it's Hillary or Bernie, we need to fight. But let's just say, in a parallel universe, he does become president let's just imagine what the world would be like...

You know how traveling to England was #1 on your bucket list and finally you saved up enough money to go? Well, guess what? You can't go because Trump doesn't allow Americans out and prevents anyone that's non-American in.

You just graduated from law school and you're looking to apply for a job at a few big firms in Manhattan but when you scroll down the online application you see that the weight limit to apply is 130 and you just checked out at 159. A disclaimer on the bottom says: If we see that you are in the process of losing weight, we may consider your application but please remember you must at least have a size C bust and a fat ass.

You wake up at 9:30 on Sunday to a beautiful sunny day. The birds are chirping, your little brother and sister are playing ball in the backyard when all of a sudden the ground starts shaking and you hear a big crash. You look outside your window to a crater in your front yard. You proceed to turn on the TV and see that North Korea is not shooting craters at the US to warn them they mean business.

No more annoying doctor forms that you have to submit to high schools and colleges before the school year because there are no such thing as vaccines. But unfortunately, after being away at college for 3 months, your roommate suddenly dies of the measles. Guess you're next!

Our second amendment right has now become our first and every student has a right to bring a gun to school but you forgot to take the test before September so now you have to wait until you go back home for Thanksgiving. That gun sure looks a bit intimidating in that angry kid's pocket sitting right next to you in math class.

Every week when you go to submit your article for The Odyssey, you have to wait a few days so that the social media person in the White House can make sure it says nothing bad about the president or the government. If so, it gets deleted and you get banned. So try to keep your opinions lowkey!

In History class, the textbooks have nothing to do with the past and all to do about the current presidency and the future. Because what other president matters before Trump? He controls what is taught in high schools and colleges because once he was elected, the Board of Education was erased.

Whether you are a Trump supporter or part of the democratic party - we can all laugh now all these hypothetical scenarios but when it comes down to it, do you think he has the ability or would he actually want to pursue some of these? Brace yourself.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
