The 5 Different Types Of Relatives You Will Encounter Throughout The Holidays

Nothing says 'Tis the season quite like pumpkin pie, cozy sweaters and passive aggressive conflicts between your Grandma and Aunt Nancy amiright?

With all of the family gatherings that are bound to happen within the next couple of months, I thought it might be useful to highlight some of the most common types of relatives that you will have to encounter. Just remember that after everything that goes down, these people are still your family. You may not always like them, but you should always love them. So pour yourself a class of wine, and get ready to enjoy the show.

1. Stressed Out Parents

During the holidays, your parents are without a doubt running around trying to prepare themselves for family gatherings. Just keep in mind that before all of your relatives arrive they will probably start yelling at you for no particular reason, ask you to to the grocery store every 20 minutes, and have at least three mental breakdowns. But don't worry, as soon as that door opens and your extended family starts coming inside, you can bet that they will miraculously have the biggest smile plastered on their face, and act as if the hours of chaos that just happened are nothing but a distant memory.Overprotective Grandpa: You can always find your grandfather sitting in the huge armchair in the living room-- either taking a nap or watching football. However, as soon as you mention a possible love interest he suddenly awakens from his slumber and makes sure that this boy meets his standards.

2. Loving Grandma

Always cooking, always cleaning, and always making sure that everyone feels welcomed. She also won't stop asking you every 5 minutes if you have a boyfriend, plan on getting married soon, or what you want to do with your life as soon as you graduate from college. But hey, ya gotta love her.

3. Your favorite "cool" Aunt

You know, the one who always gives the best presents, and who will sneakily give you some "adult beverages" during dinner.

4. Crazy Uncles

We all have them... (Or if you don't, consider yourself extremely lucky). The holidays are always made a lot more interesting when your Crazy Uncle Steve is around.

5. Those Weird Cousins That You Are Forced To Get Along With

Get ready to spend some quality time with your video game obsessed, Hunger Games loving, or Amish-dressing cousins. Happy Holidays.

Just remember... we all can be a little bit embarrassed of our family sometimes , but that were all in this together.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
