The Difference Between You and Everyone Else

First of all let's be clear on something, YES, I am black. Specifically, I am from Nigeria which is located in West Africa (for those who may not know). So, whatever I write is not from a bias point of view, although it's my own opinion, but in all honestly, it is my truth. Some people reading this might think what am I going to write about, well am writing, about what affect everyone on daily basics in their daily life when I say, everyone, no one is excluded regardless of the skin color you wear #all lives matter.

The phrase, ALL LIVES MATTER is not just another hashtag, and in this context, I didn't use it to undermine the current struggle of black people at the hand of a racist individual. I also believe in #Black lives matter. but let's look at a bigger picture most people might say what bigger picture is it all lives or just black lives that have been lost as a result of police brutality due to racism since we dealing in specific let get some.

The Irish American people faced much prejudice, racism and discrimination after their immigration to the United States because they were poor, uneducated, less skilled, considered disruptive and were Catholics in a land of Protestant dominance.

At the hands of the citizens, the Irish-Americans faced stereotypes that associated men with drunkenness and laziness and their women depicted as primitive.

Having faced perhaps much prejudice in their motherland, it only worked to unite them for a common course- prosperity in all fields. They lived in Irish neighborhoods and established schools to improve access to education for their children.

About half of Hispanics in the U.S. (52%) say they have experienced discrimination or have been treated unfairly because of their race or ethnicity, according to a newly released Pew Research Center survey on race in America.

now That specific not only have other races endured discrimination or suffered at the hand of racist fanatics who believe they are superior to others or are more privileged than others, the Asians have and are still being discriminated against even by blacks this is something I have seen and I feel disgusted by we all want our lives to matter despite our religious belief, ethnicity, sexuality or who we associate ourselves with.

no one wants to walk on the street wondering if someone walking past them could bring harm to them because they are different.for most it when you are accustomed to privilege equality seems or feels like oppression. It would be easy to become a victim of our circumstances and continue feeling sad, scared or angry; or instead, we could choose to deal with injustice humanely and break the chains of negative thoughts and energies, and not let ourselves sink into it. It is unfortunate that when you want to make some people feel like human beings, they begin to take you as an animal.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
