While the last few months in the political climate have been scary and stressful for many, we can’t attribute everything that’s going on to be the president's fault. Some things can only be correlated to timing.
Personally, I do not agree with many things that have been said and done so far during the presidency. However, I recognize how life works, and that things are out of peoples control. Recently I saw a tweet talking about how, “Never in a presidency before has there been so many natural disasters, and a nuclear war on the rise”.
Such a harsh and inaccurate accusation made me think the line has gone too far between facts and blaming based on personal beliefs and opinions. President Trump is sticking to one of his campaign promises, America first.
While it is never easy to wrap our heads around the idea of using nuclear weapons and violently attacking another country, the numerous threats are unfair to the United States as well as to China, and South Korea. Often homeland security is at the top of citizens lists for importance to them from their government.
Is that what he’s doing? Yes. While most of us have never experienced something like this in our lifetime, the threats are continuously coming and are harsher every time America sanctions, and meets with the U.N.
In this situation, I believe we need to put politics aside and weigh the magnitude of this arising issue and think about how much we prioritize and value our safety.
