Americans have always loved watching TV and movies and have been binging series since the creation of On Demand and streaming services. With this current state of self-lockdown we are currently in, there is not much else to do besides laying across your couch and curling up with a cozy blanket and something entertaining to watch. 1. "Tiger King"
This riveting docuseries is about Joe Exotic, a former zoo owner, and his crazy, wacky life as the "Tiger King". Exotic is a tiger lover, zookeeper, magician, singer/songwriter, and conman that has an interesting life in the Tiger keeper business.
2. "Ozark"
This very popular series is about a financial advisor that picks up his family and moves to the Ozarks in Missouri as he flees from a money-laundering deal gone wrong. He now owes lots of money to some drug dealers and continues to pay them off to keep his family safe. Will he be able to do it? Watch it on Netflix to find out.
3. "All American"
"All American" is a classic story about a star athlete from a poor town being offered a chance to play at a big-time, rich high school. However, this story has many romantic, familial, and gang-related twists and turns that excite the viewers into watching for hours on end.
4. "Blood Father"
Another drug action thriller, "Blood Father" follows an ex-con and her interesting father as they run from and fight off the girl's drug-dealing ex-boyfriend, who is coincidentally part of the cartel.
5. "The Platform"
This thought-provoking thriller movie is based in a prison where they feed inmates from the top down. The inmates towards the top are fed and can eat all they want, leaving their leftovers to fall to the cells below them. Oftentimes the lower level inmates starve as the upper-level inmates watch, meaning they must do something or die of starvation.
6. "Car Masters Rust to Riches"
Gotham Garage, a car restoration business run by Mark Towle, is the main focal point of the series. His crew is working to trade and sell cars, parts, and car services until they can work up to obtaining a really great car that can be sold for lots of money.
7. "Unorthodox"
Based on an autobiography published in 2012, Unorthodox is short series about a jewish woman who flees to Berlin and is taken in by some musicians. All is well until her past, the arranged marriage she fled from, comes back to haunt her. This series is the first Netflix series to ever be shot in primarily spoken Yiddish.
8. "Love is Blind"
"Love is Blind" is a new reality show that is basically a cross between the Bachelor franchise, the hit TV show "Big Brother", and the dating app, Tinder. These individuals have just about a month to date around and meet people before getting engaged, but the kicker is the participants cannot physically see any of these people they are dating, in person or photos, unless they say yes to the engagement. Check this show out to root for your favorites!
9. "Badland"
In this gritty film, a prominent western detective is hired to hunt down and kill confederate war criminals. While on his journey, he meets a pioneer woman that throws him off a bit because of his appeasement with her. However, little does he know she is a mysterious one herself too.
10. "Uncorked"
This movie is about a young man who follows his dreams of becoming a wine expert, even though his dad wants him to continue within and take over the family barbecue business.
