The cross before me, the world behind me. It's simple. We must focus our eyes solely on Him, no matter what the world may have us think, but we fail every day. We as humans get so embedded in the desires of the world. We want what we want, not what God wants. We want to do what we want to do, not what God's plan is for our lives, but God says in his word that "the world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever." (1 John 2:17)

Yes, the world is "fun." You are in charge of you. You can make your own decisions. Sin as much as you want, but there is no overwhelming happiness like the happiness that God provides. God is the source of all joy, all freedom, and eternal life. He is my constant reminder that I am forgiven, set apart, bold, and His masterpiece. There is nothing, not even the desires of the world, that is better than that. In His eyes, I am a sweet aroma. I am washed clean. I am never alone. I am wonderfully made. When I am weak, I am strong.

"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'" (John 8:12)

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
