"But he's nice, just give him a chance!"
"You should be happy someone likes you."
"C'mon! Just go out with him!"
Since when was it a crime to not like a boy? In this day and age I feel like most of my interactions with guys is figuring out how to get them to leave me alone. It is a tale as old as time: boy likes girl, and girl has no interest. Girl, politely tells him "no," but the boy keeps persisting. Some find this relentless persisting endearing.
I just find this simply annoying. Over and over again, girls find themselves telling boys no, yet they don't listen, as if there will be a different outcome after the twelfth time of trying. When it gets to the point where the girl must be rude because that is the only way the boy will leave her alone, she is deemed a "bitch." She is now a "bitch" because after so much pushing, she had to say no in the only way that would get through this boy's thick skull. Because he couldn't take the rejection the first time.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE FEELINGS FOR SOMEONE, YOU DON'T HAVE FEELINGS FOR SOMEONE. And nothing is going to change that. Society has now deemed not liking and rejecting a boy, a crime. Girls, you are not obligated to like anyone, or say yes to anyone. So maybe, boys, instead of not letting up and asking her out over and over again, you take the answer she gives you and move along. Feelings occur and you cannot force yourself to like someone. So since when did not having feelings for someone become a crime? I understand that rejection is hard, NO ONE likes rejection. But boys, please, in all names holy, take the no and move along to the next girl.
And girls, if you don't like him, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SAY YES. Because it is NOT a crime to not like someone. Because "C'mon! Just go out with him!" should not be the reason behind a girl saying yes.
