I promise they go hand in hand with one another.

You are going to scroll down and look at this picture and I want you to say, out loud, the first thing that comes to mind. Remember that word, and hold on to the feeling that it gives you, OK?

Are you ready?

Now!

So what was your first word? What was the first feeling you had?

I will bet you every single cent that I have in my pocket (which, let's be honest here, isn't all that much I mean c'mon I'm a college student) that your response to that a-freaking-adorable picture of a perfect little fluff ball of a puppy was nothing less than positive.

It gave you a feeling of happiness, didn't it? Wanna know why? Because animals make people happy.

Now, don't get me wrong, there are people out there who don't love every single animal that they come across, but if they are presented with a nice, clean, soft, puppy or kitten? They literally have to think it's cute, it's just the rules of nature.

If you're anything like me then it doesn't matter what kind of animal it is. I can see a bird walking to class and immediately perk up inside. God forbid I see a cat or a dog at a party somewhere because then my friends won't see me for the rest of the night. I'm the type of person who will pull a Matt Damon in "We Bought A Zoo" and will literally purchase a zoo to live in with my family just because I'm dealing with a mid-life crisis.

There definitely are some animals that I would prefer not to be around (like 4, tops) but overall, I am definitely an animal person. I get excited to go home to visit my family because I know there will be animals there to cuddle with. When I go visit different places, I always ask if there will be any animals there. I'm tagged in at least 8 pictures or videos of animals a day by friends and family, and I constantly tag them in the same.

Animals make me happy. Pictures of them, videos of them, hugging them, cuddling with them, watching them, talking to them, anything in the world you can do with an animal I adore. They have been proven to relieve stress even!

Happiness is directly correlated with animals whether you believe it or not. You proved it yourself at the beginning of this article when you saw the picture of that puppy! So get you an animal, go to a petting zoo, or even just a regular ole zoo, visit a friend with an animal, go see your family so you can hang out with the cats, just have animals in your life because they can make you forget about the crazy, stressed life that you're living and even be the most amazing listeners when you need to talk.

Happiness and animals have a direct relationship with one another, it's just a fact!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
