When they released their hit single "Selfie", no one ever thought that The Chainsmokers would be able to produce serious music. The line, "But first, let me take a selfie," became every basic Instagram girl's selfie caption and continues to be parodied today. It wasn't until they released their platinum single "Closer" featuring Halsey over the summer of 2016 that their true musical talent was exposed. Anywhere you went you could hear "Closer" blaring on the airwaves for a majority of the summer. Soon fall came and "Closer" was starting to seem like another summer one hit wonder...and then "Paris" dropped. When "Paris" dropped, it too, got all the airplay on the radio with a special announcement that their first album wasn't too far behind. On April 7th, "Memories...Do Not Open" was released making all their fans scramble to download the much-anticipated album. Now that it has been out for a week now, here is a review of each of the songs on the album as well as the best lyrics.
