With the arrival of April we leave behind the cold weather, the freezing winter, the annoying but fascinating snow and we look forward to the arrival of longer days, the sunbeams that heat up our body.

We are able to spend more time outside in the open air, sit down in a park reading a book or just have one day outdoors exploring.

This year it is different all over the world. This year as soon as spring arrived we weren't as happy as usual. It's the saddest time for all humanity, it's the darkest spring ever.

In a future we will look back and we will never forget these days at home, not being able to live a normal life. Most of the world, right now must stay at home in order that this silent, invisible virus will be gone once and for all, as soon as possible.

We must be united, fighting againt the same enemy.

Spring is usually a feast of rebirth, after the dark winter the sun on your body makes you feel new, makes you feel cheerful. It gives you the ispiration to do so many things outdoors. Nature wakes up, new scents are in the air, swallows sing and fly around, the sun gets hotter and you feel better, you feel happier.

But this year it is different. We aren't able to appreciate it because most of the people in the USA and especially in Italy, must stay home.

We can see the sun's rays only from our window, or see a flower that blooms only from our own garden. We are able to see everything from our windowseat, from a different perspective, at home while we read a book, we paint or we write.

All of us, all the world is living in a dark time, that we will never forget.

Our sons and daughters are going to study this particular time in their history books.

A sense of fear, of solitude, of silence crosses the thoughts of every single human on this planet. When is all this going to end? Each of us is so frightned to hear the news on tv, the number of victims that increase each day, ghost towns, deserted cities. What gave me a sense of void was seeing the most crowded city of all, empty. The images of New York deserted, with no cabs passing by, not a person walking around, made me, (but I'm sure, all of you had the same feeling) feel so sad.

How did the Big Apple, one of the most crowded cities at every hour of the day, just stop living?

Even if we must stay home and we aren't able to go out and take a walk, go to a park and have a picnic, and simply sit on the grass and read a book, we can reflect. We have this time to reflect about what is going on in our world.

Nature is waking up, flowers are blooming, birds are singing, but we must stay inside, for us, for our family, for our relatives, for our friends, for each of us until this enemy will be gone.

We will go back to normality stronger than ever, you will be able to give a more important meaning to every single walk, or run in the park, or sunset you admire.

This is probably a time to just understand, what are the most important things in life. We can always be busy running around, or working but we will appreciate a hug, a kiss, a person, a simple sunset, a flower blooming, nature around us in a better way.

Stay home and soon we will be able to do all the things we can't right now.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
