Rae Dunn

Throughout time there have been millions of trends from clothing to shoes to home. People will wait in lines for hours prior to store openings for the new iPhone or concert tickets, but never have I heard of anyone wait outside of a store for a home brand...

History of Rae Dunn

Rae Dunn is a California native artist known for her imperfect simplistic designs and creations. The hype her company and designs receive is mind boggling

People stand outside of stores waiting for it

I mean it's normal to see a line wrapped around the Apple store the day of a new phone launch, or to see people waiting in line for Justin Bieber tickets, but never have I seen so many men and women stand outside of a storefront so they can be the first to buy Rae Dunn. It was kind of a joke at my work. They'd begin to line up thirty minutes before opening, and we'd all say "Oh the Rae Dunners are here and ready!"

Fights break out, mean Facebook posts are written, workers are not even allowed to buy Rae Dunn because it is in such a high demand.

Why so much hype?

The past couple years have been the years of simplicity. Tiny Houses are introduced, minimalist designs come out, people want the simplistic lifestyle again. Rae Dunn is just that. The distinct writing on the mugs, kitchenware, and even journals and dog beds scream minimalist.

Is it worth it?

In my opinion nothing deserves that much hype, but the ceramics and other designs are good quality at an affordable price. The mugs and ceramics hold up nicely, and the dog beds are durable. The designs and writing are also gender neutral, which is also a major selling point to any millennial.

Go for it

If not for the product then go get a small cup that'll be like $5.99 just to say that yes you indeed own Rae Dunn.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

mu bucket list

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.
