Orange wine
You know about red, white and rosé already, but have you had the chance to sample orange wine yet? Thisamber hued beverage has in part become popular because of how aesthetically pleasing it appears on Instagram, but that's certainly not the main reason you need to try it,and orange wine in fact has a long history that many people aren't aware of.
Orange wine isn't a wine made with oranges, but rather a type of white wine made by leaving the grape skins in contact with the juice. This natural process uses little to no additives, giving the end product a very different taste to a classic red or white. Wines made in this way are the oldest form of whites and have been produced in Georgia for millennia. More recently, winemakers in other regions such as Italy, Slovenia, France and the United States have also turned their attention to this technique.
Orange wines are often described as full-bodied and robust, having the refreshing qualities of a white wine alongside the great depth of flavour of a red. They're best enjoyed with red meat, especially lamb, with bold dishes such as curries or simply on their own. The Calcarius Nu Litr Orange is a great choice paired with appetizers on a summer's afternoon.
Rosé champagne and prosecco
If you've witnessed the buzz surrounding natural wine brandCalcariuson social media over the past year, you may have also seen a deluge of pink fizz on your feed, with a host of celebrity rosé launches contributing to its moment in the spotlight. Ready-to-drink cocktails
Since 2019, the ready-to-drink category has seen a huge surge in growth, with RTD offerings having become much more diverse as a result. Consumers love convenience so it should come as no surprise that ready-to-drink cocktails continue to perform so well, but this industry has certainly also been helped along by the pandemic as we'vesought out new and exciting beverages to enjoy at home. Particularly popular at the moment are RTDs that are lighter, lower in carbs and lower in alcohol.
