People come in and out of my life on daily basis, but there is a special handful of those who never left. My younger brother is easily one of my best friends; while not everyone knows him, he is someone to never be overlooked or forgotten. Honestly, and with every type of “cheese” intended, my life changed on September 25th, 2000: the day Timmy was born.

While I can’t recall the details of that day nor every single memory we’ve had since then, my parents can tell you and the pictures will show you, we’ve been buddies since day one. There were definitely countless times we annoyed each other to the point when mom needed to break us up and cool off; it’s just what happens when you have siblings. And honestly, thank God it does, because without my little booger of a brother, I wouldn’t have accumulated the levels of patience that I have now. Most likely, he feels the same way about me. The best thing about having a brother, is I have an automatic best friend forever; literally. He’s been in my life for as long as he’s been alive. I’m part of his forever. And we’ve had some really good times.

Timmy is an extremely special person who doesn’t cease to amaze me. From the time he could, he’s been tapping and banging drums everyday. He’s celebrated so many amazing achievements like being honored the top high school jazz drummer in the state, performing with multiple bands and ensembles, participating in Thom Hannum’s UMass Drum Corps camp three summers in a row, and all while working hard in school, playing football then sitting on a drum kit during halftime, and learning how to be a great human being.

He also is quite the comedian and impressionist. He can often be heard reenacting scenes from the hit Disney movie Lilo & Stitch, as well as the great Patrick Warburton a.k.a Kronk.

Timmy can be found practicing song after song on his beautiful basement kit or drum pad, generously funded by Moi :)

He is also an avid gamer with a tendency to get “angy.”

He loves pasta and the Wendy’s Bacon-ator, extra bacon.

Bro, does actually lift.

He drives the stick Subaru better than I do.

Timmy loves lamp and just ate a big red candle.

More importantly, Timmy is my amazing big, little brother.

I love you so much Doofenshmirtz/Poop-head.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
