Going away to college is tough as it is, but going to college and not having a group of friends is even harder. That is the way it is for many college students, they have trouble finding their niche and feeling like they belong where they are. I am incredibly grateful for the group of friends I have found this semester.
We are a goofy group and I love it even more for that. I know that they are there for me and if one person wants to do something, at least one other person is there to go with them. These are the friendships that get us through what many people will call "the best times of our lives." Friends are what make college "the best time of our lives." Without having these people in our lives it can seem like college will take forever, like the homesickness will overwhelm us. I am glad to have the friends I do, not only are they wonderful, but they also help in relieving some homesickness. Having friendships like these creates a home away from home. I love them all dearly and will miss them when I'm gone from school. I know that most of us will be friends for a long time because of the connections we have made in our time in college.
I look forward to more adventures and nights of pure goofiness. Here's to us.
