The Best Time Is Now

"You are young. You have your whole life ahead of you."

You may hear people speaking about your whole life ahead of you as you are in your 20's. You are young still, you have all the time in the world, and you have endless opportunities ahead.

As much as that is true, there is something underlying about that message. You are not promised tomorrow. You are not promised 50 years. You are not promised a second chance. You are not promised a lifetime. The BEST time is now.

Whether you want to drive a nice car, meet a new friend, jump out of the sky, or learn something new, no matter what it is, you should do it now.

As we grow older, we do not realize the importance of living in the now. Our generation rushes everything. Middle school, boyfriends and girlfriends, make-up, designer clothes, high school prom, gym class, literally anything you can think of! We spend our time rushing these days that mean so much.

You are healthy.

You are blessed.

You are alive.

You are young.

Take the time to do something you want to do today. It is your job to take the wheel of your life and this is the time. Taking control of your life does not mean you are panicked and living like you are dying. Taking control of your life and living in the "now" will allow you to live life to the fullest.

The BEST time is now. Now, I am only 21, so you may wonder why I am writing this...

Well, while I was waiting outside my internship building and this old woman was sitting on the sidewalk with her head down, she seemed to be crying. So I decided to sit down next to her. This woman proceeded to tell me that her son had died a couple of weeks prior and she wishes they came to this building for lunch before he passed. She informed me on this quote, "The best time is now" and it stuck with me.

As I walked away after we talked for a while, I reflected on my life. I decided that I myself and many people my age may need to hear this too. I hope you listen to me.

xoxo

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.

College students, you might be able to relate to this one. These probably sound familiar because we often tell ourselves these phrases; however, we are unable to follow or agree with these the following, deep down inside of our overwhelmed, tired minds.

1. "No more spending money on useless things"

Until you walk into a 99 cents store and suddenly have the urge to pick up anything that's less than a dollar.
