Spring Break is here at last!

The stress of midterms is behind us and we finally have a chance to relax! Some are soaking up the sun on a beach or finally catching up on much-needed sleep! Not everyone gets to go on a vacation! So here is a list of some of the BEST things to do in Michigan during spring break!

1. Take a trip to Frankenmuth!

Take a trip to Michigan's own little Bavaria! There are loads to do in such a little Vicinity! Walk around town, have lunch at your favorite chicken restaurant, or spend the day at Splash village. There are loads of thing to do! Most things are within walking distance! I can guarantee there is something everyone will enjoy!

2. Mackinac Island!

You can not only explore Mackinac City, but you have the option to take a ferry to the Island. The island has a multitude of activities ranging from horseback riding, biking, and exploring the local shops. Depending on where you live, this could be an easy day trip or an opportunity to stay overnight.

3. Vist the capitol!

Catch up on your history, test your knowledge and see the beauty that is Lansing. If your a sports fan maybe check out Spartans stadium too. You can check out the local museums or go to the zoo!

4. Sleeping Bear Dunes.

Depending on the weather it might be a little chilly! But if you love to hike then this is the perfect Idea for you! The sights are beautiful and it's so peaceful! And let's be honest, college students don't always get peace and tranquility.

5. Go shopping in Birch Run.

After weeks of studying and doing homework, use this as a chance to spoil yourself. Birch Run is not only close to Frankenmuth, but you can get some great deals on clothing! With popular brands such as Niki, Coach, Under Armour, Michael Kors, Columbia, and Adidas. You're bound to fall in love with something and find a great deal while you do it!

6. Visit Detroit!

Detroit home to three of Michigans major sports teams! While your down there, you check out the Tigers store, go to Hockey Town, or even see Ford Field. If sports aren't your thing that's okay too! With tons of art museums, shops, rich history. You're bound to fall in love! And you could even catch a concert while you're there!

7. Explore your hometown.

With many kids living on campus going home for spring break allows you to fall in love with your hometown all over again! Go to your favorite coffee shop, eat at your favorite local restaurant and spend time with your loved ones. Soak in the home cooked meals, the downtime, and use it to recuperate.

Now that you have some ideas to ponder, go out and explore! And find some more places that you could add to this list!
