What do most students at the University of Oklahoma anxiously await for? The answer is easy...OU football. The day is finally here! On September 3, our football team and many Sooner fans will travel to Houston, TX for the first game of the season against Houston at NRG Stadium. There is nothing better than football season, especially when we get to watch our Sooners take the win.

1. A sea of crimson and cream

There's nothing better than looking around the stadium and seeing a sea of crimson and cream. Sooner fans definitely know how to go all out and proudly support our team by wearing our favorite game day outfits.

2. Baker Mayfield

Our quarterback might be No. 6 on the field, but he is definitely No. 1 in our hearts. We can't wait to see him lead our team to victory this year, and luckily we get him for one more season after this one.

3. The new stadium

Sooner fans are extremely excited to attend the first home game against the ULM Warhawks on September 10, in our new and improved stadium. Our new scoreboard can be seen all the way in Oklahoma City and we can't wait to put it to good use!

4. Tailgating

Tailgating is one of the best parts about game days in Norman. The perfect way to start off game days is by playing games and eating food with your friends before the game starts.

5. The student section

If you are a student at the University of Oklahoma, then you know that being in the student section at a football game is literally so much fun. Everyone stands during the whole game and everyone is so pumped to be there. Your voice will be gone after the game from chanting and yelling to support our team.

6. The Pride of Oklahoma

Everyone looks forward to hearing the Pride of Oklahoma. OU fans take a lot of pride in hearing both our pep song and our state song. Everyone knows every word and we sing it proudly. The Pride's halftime performance is always entertaining to watch. They don't disappoint!

7. Football

Obviously one of the main best things about game day is football. Who doesn't love to watch football, especially when it's OU football?

8. Being with your friends

There's nothing better than spending the day with your friends who love OU football as much as you do. It's a fun-filled day where you get to make life long memories with your friends.

9. The college experience

Going to football games is a big part of the college experience. Sooner game days are definitely something that every OU student should experience in their life time. It's always a great experience.

10. Away games

Home games are fun, but away games are also a great experience. It's fun to travel with your friends and discover a new place. We have to cheer on our Sooners no matter where they are!

11. Home games

Home games are filled with an intense amount of energy. Everyone is so hype and ready to cheer on our Sooners to victory. It's great to look around and see the crimson and cream blocking out the other team's colors.
