Fall 2017 is coming to an end. The leaves are changing, it's getting cooler, and everyone is just waiting for Thanksgiving Break. A whole weak of nothing but food and family. Honestly, Thanksgiving Break can't come any sooner. There are just so many benefits:

1. No responsibilities, at all

Thanksgiving break is a free week. No assignments. No classes. Just you, some Netflix, and your nice cozy bed.

2. Except for studying for finals

At least you have nothing better to do than study for finals, but we all know you're going to find every excuse not to study.

3. Not just home cooked meals, Thanksgiving home cooked meals

Thanksgiving food is so much better than any other food. It can be mixed and combined in so many different way, and there is so much of it! There will be enough Thanksgiving leftovers to survive exam week without ever visiting a dining hall once.

4. Family everywhere!

If you've felt kind of homesick throughout the semester, Thanksgiving break is the cure to it all! If your family is anything like mine, not only do you get to see immediate family during Thanksgiving, but you also get to see cousins, aunts, and uncles - many of which you don't even remember. It'll be enough family time to last another semester.

5. The semester is basically over

Thanksgiving Break is basically a free week before the last week of classes. Okay, I guess the last week is full of exams, but that's it! That's the end. We are almost done with this semester. We just need to get over break and finals, then we're home free...until January.

I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
