With summer already started or starting for most students, it's time for a playlist update. During May, there are always new songs released that could possibly be the song of the summer. Whether you're traveling the world, lounging at the beach or commuting to an internship, these songs will no doubt remind you of this summer when you listen to them later on in the year. Mostly dance tracks and feel good songs, summer songs should be upbeat for long car rides and endless partying. Below are just a few of those songs in no particular order.
"This Is What You Came For," Calvin Harris, Rihanna.
Between Calvin Harris's DJ skills and Rihanna's amazing voice this is no doubt one of the best songs to be released this past month.
"One Dance," Drake.
While almost all of the songs on Views are somewhat sad and soulful, this song is more upbeat- reminding you of the song that gets you back on the dance floor even though you should be heading home.
"Needed Me," Rihanna.
This is definitely a good year for Rihanna and she's never afraid to show off. This badass song is a car anthem.
"Say It," Flume ft. Tove Lo.
A late night song with Tove Lo's soothing voice and Flume enchanting rhythm.
"Raging," Kygo (ft. Kodaline).
Unlike the title, this song isn't really for raging but the unlikely collaboration of a tropical house DJ and an indie band seems to fit perfectly.
"Kill the Lights," Alex Newell, Jess Glynne (Audien Remix).
Two amazing singers prove to be better than one on this track. If this doesn't make you want to dance, nothing will.
"How to Love," Cash Cash.
Cash Cash brings a different style than their normal tracks with clear influence from tropical and deep house. Like rosé, it was made for warm weather.
"Can't Stop The Feeling," Justin Timberlake.
After a three year hiatus this Justin also decided to make a comeback and it won't disappoint,
"Into the Sunset," Mako.
One of those tracks about feeling invincible, which is what summer break is all about.
"No Money," Galantis.
Galantis wants to remind every college kid of their current finances with a really good beat.
