Seattle is one of the most interesting cities to visit. Nature around Seattle is beautiful, the city life is bustling with street music and flying fish in the Pike Place Market. I lived in Seattle for a short time in my younger years, and recently visited and rekindled with and found a few of my favorite spots. On my most recent visit, we had roughly 2 and a half days to visit all of these locations plus Seattle University. Here are some of my top spots.
1. Pike Place Market
97 Pike St, Suite 2, Pike Place Market, Seattle, WA 98101
This is one of the classic tourist's spots in Seattle. The market is full of life, little shops, fresh fruit and fresh fish. Definitely, take the samples offered to you. The fruit is fresh and everything good fruit should be.
2. The Gum Wall
1428 Post Alley, Seattle, WA 98101
Sticky situations!!! (Punny!) Okay so apparently the city of Seattle cleaned this place up because it smelled, but the tourists fought back. For the record, the place did not smell but certainly harbored the largest amount of germs per square foot. Makes for some cool pictures.
3. Snoqualmie Falls
6501 Railroad Ave SE, Snoqualmie, WA 98065
Seattle has many beautiful falls and scenic nature spots. One of my favorites is Snoqualmie Falls. I love everything about the falls. It is beautiful and breath-taking. 10/10 would recommend.
4. Specialty's Bakery
1400 5th Ave, Seattle, WA 98101
This was a little breakfast shop we stopped at one morning. It was nicely decorated and had great pastries and coffee. It had a serene and homelike ambiance, and it would be a great study or work spot.
5. Piroshky Piroshky Bakery
1908 Pike Pl, Seattle, WA 98101
Another cute little bakery with amazing pastries. We visited Piroshky Piroshky twice because we liked it so much.
6. Seattle Great Wheel
1301 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA 98101
Beautiful view of the city and a fun ride for those interested.
7. Space Needle
1301 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA 98101
This is a given. If you can go up the Needle, I would definitely recommend it. Unfortunately, on my most recent trip, we did not go up it, but I have before and I remember my little kid self-being in awe.
8. Seattle Aquarium
1483 Alaskan Way Pier 59, Seattle, WA 98101
They have Sea Otters! Need I say more?
9. The First Starbucks Shop
1912 Pike Pl, Seattle, WA 98101
Beware the line for this shop can be insanely long! We ended up getting coffee at the next shop. But, if you are a huge Starbucks fan, then stop by.
10. West Seattle View
10404 34th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98146
Another incredible view of an incredible city.
And that concludes my list! If you do go to Seattle, make sure to visit all the city has to offer and happy traveling!
