Huntsville, TX is a small town full of college students. Being a college student who loves food in such a small town has given me the opportunity to try most of the food joints Huntsville has to offer. While some don't deserve any recognition at all, other are worthy of the praise people give them. Here are the best places to eat in Huntsville, TX:

1. Humphrey's Bar and Grill

Also know as "Humps," this place is awesome to go to watch sports or just to relax with friends. Their outdoor seating is what gives the place it's awesome vibe, and they always have drink specials -- in case you're ballin' on a budget.

2. El Gordo Taqueria

While I couldn't find a picture of the outside of the restaurat, I still had to include this authentic Mexican food place. Their prices are cheap, and their food is to die for. When you're there, make sure you ask for some of their pineapple water! Don't like pineapples? They have watermelon, and melon water as well!

3. Mr. Hamburger

Calling all burger lovers: this is the best hamburger in town. This is a quaint, old-school hamburger joint that has been around since 1959. Y'all, there's reason why they have been around so long, and there is a reason why they are voted the best hamburger and fries in Huntsville, TX by Huntsville Item's Reader's Choice.

4. Yummy Yummy

There are a few other Yummy Yummy restaurants scattered over Texas, but this Mongolian Grill is a staple for SHSU student's diets. They even have a "Bearkat Roll," made special for us Sam Houston students!

5. New Zion Missionary Baptist Church BBQ

If you haven't been here, stop what you're doing right now and go. Some may call this establishment "a hole in the wall," but they immediately forget about it once they taste the how mouthwatering the food actually is.

6. Mama Juanita's

This is basically the birthday hot spot of Huntsville -- mainly because of their amazing margaritas and super friendly staff.

7. Farmhouse Sweets & Eats

Located on the square, this is probably one of Huntsville's cutest spots to eat. They serve fountain soda, delicious pies, and cafe foods that you can't find anywhere else in town. This is an amazing place to hold meetings, or even a Bible study with your friends!

8. City Hall Cafe & Pie Bar

If the phrase "Pie Bar" doesn't excite you then I don't know what will. Not only do they have amazing, cheap, decadent pies, they also put your drink in a mason jar. Seriously, what more could you want?

9. Lindo Mexican Taqueria

The best breakfast tacos in town -- enough said.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
