The Best Online Shopping Websites (And Their Pros And Cons) For A Shopping Addict On A Budget

Often times, I feel like I cannot keep up with everyones closets. I order one thing online, wear it, and then a new fashion trend comes along and EVERYONE is wearing it. For a fashion-forward, shopping addict like myself, I always like to stay on top of deals and the best online shopping websites. During this past semester of college, I think that I have finally got it down. Although my bank account often seems to disagree with me as I enter my credit card number at check out, I have gotten pretty good at finding the cutest yet cheapest options to hang up in my closet. So for those of you who want mediocre-to-great quality trendy clothing to feed your inner fashionista (that your bank account will allow you to have), check out these websites below:

1.) Missguided

Praise the Lord for www.missguidedus.com. There is truly nothing I prefer more than laying in my bed for an hour (okay, maybe that's an understatement) and peruse through this website. Everything that I have ordered has become one of my staple pieces for an extremely low price. Ground shipping is free, and everything is tax-free when you get to check out, so there will be no surprises when you get to check out. If you need something a bit quicker, there is always the option of express shipping for $9. All in all, this has by far become my favorite trendy-yet-cheap online shopping website to tend to when I am feeling needy.

PROS: Free shipping, trendy and cheap, nice quality.

CONS: Slow ground shipping, sizing runs a bit small.

2.) Boohoo

Recently, I was fortunate enough to discover www.Boohoo.com. I had heard mixed reviews about it, but time and time again I kept asking girls where they got their trendy skirt or romper from, and the response was repeatedly "boohoo." I am not saying that this is the end-all-be-all of fashion, or that you will be receiving the highest quality pleather skirt, but for a trendy college student on a major budget, this website is wonderful.

PROS: Super deals, good for staple pieces, multiple shipping options.

CONS: Poor customer service, some low-quality items (but hey, you get what you pay for!)

3.) Tobi

Besides it's super cute clothing that is shockingly great quality, www.Tobi.com is notorious for ALWAYS having a sale and offering a large percentage off. On top of that, signing up with your email will offer you 50% off your first order. (Life Hack: take the couple extra minutes to make multiple email addresses, you will be able to get 50% off every time you order something if you use a new email address each time!) I could not be more obsessed with Tobi and have never been unhappy with a purchase.

PROS: Great quality, fast shipping, true to size.

CONS: None!

4.) Necessary Clothing

As I have mentioned above with all the other website, www.necessaryclothing.com hits the nail on the head when it comes to trendy, yet tasteful, clothing for less. Most items range from $14.99 to $34.99. In my opinion, Necessary Clothing always has the best priced rompers and dresses for a night out.

PROS: Great quality, perfect going out clothes.

CONS: Poor customer service, sizing can be a little bit iffy.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
