Best Friends.

They are people you need in life. They get you through the good times. They REALLY help you get through the bad times as well. They take pictures with you at any hour. They know what you need when you are upset...yep, they bring you Reese's and give you continuous hugs.

This article is about how my best friends aren't who I have known the longest, but the people that are around for me the most.

I met my best friends not that long ago, yep...I have met my closest friends all within the last year or so. One of my best friend's is my roommate this year. Another one of my best friend's is my big. My boyfriend is one of my best friends as well.

I met my roommate on the first day or orientation. We were playing a game and didn't talk much. I had no idea at that time that #11 on the school basketball team would become my roommate and best friend.

I met my big during, well, big/little week. She revealed herself and I was so excited to have her. How cool is it that she cared so much for me before I even knew it?! Now, I am sitting in her room writing this. What would I do without her?

Finally, I met my boyfriend at work. He just kinda looked at me that first few times I worked the same shift he did. Yeah, I thought he was nice and cute, but I would have never imaged he would be my boyfriend and my best friend. How lucky am I?

Those three mean the world to me. Rather it be through text, FaceTime, or in person, my best friends are there no matter what. I couldn't be any luckier to have found people that are there with me through all the blood, sweat and tears I go through; OK mostly sweat and tears.

So here's to you Callan, Claire, and Austin. Thank you for being my best friends.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter
morethanwheels

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
