While female friendships on TV is rather rare, some TV shows have been able to capture them in their utmost beauty and strength. It is a fact that women have shared strong, supportive bonds within their limited avenues for interaction since the beginning of time, and female friendships portrayed on television are no different.

Below are the six best friendships to have graced our TV screens:

1. Phoebe, Rachel, and Monica (Friends)

While the friendships shared by the characters with each other is what makes the show special, the female trifecta of Phoebe, Rachel, and Monica is special. From dating to hairdos to babies and so much more, this trio shared a friendship that grew stronger as they evolved as individuals, dealing with love and loss.

2. Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte (Sex and the City)

"Sex and the City" quite possibly gave us the first #squadgoals, with young independent women enjoying love and life in the beautiful streets of New York. Men came and went in each of these women’s lives, but what stayed the same was the bond these women shared, and their love for Manolo Blahnik.

3. Meredith and Christina (Grey's Anatomy)

“You’re my person”. Meredith and Christina share a friendship that has given us all the feels, and has made us love and cherish our besties even more. They have had each other’s back through every single disaster in "Grey’s Anatomy," which frankly happens a little too often. That is true friendship.

4. Hannah, Marnie, Jessa and Shoshanna (Girls)

Through rehab, moving to a different city, embarrassing videos on the Internet, hookups, breakups and makeups, these four have stuck together. The realistic portrayal of lives and relationships of women in their 20s makes this show special, as their friendship is imperfect but incredibly special.

5. Abbi and Ilana (Broad City)

Perfectly encapsulating the life of a struggling twenty-something in New York, "Broad City" perfectly captures real ride-or-die kind of friendship, especially in moments of great adversity (it is only a true friend that will help you deal with a lost condom in your lady parts).

6. Taystee and Poussey (Orange is the New Black)

The list couldn’t be complete without at "OTINB" pair. "OITNB" explores different kinds of relationships between women, be it of animosity, love or friendship. Taystee and Poussey have stuck together through thick and thin, despite Vee causing a rift between the two in season two. They are always there for support, know of the other’s weaknesses and are united in their love for reading.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
