The Best Of Fall TV Every Night Of The Week

Some, okay, all might say that I am a TV fanatic. During any season, I am usually watching anywhere from five to ten different television shows. Here are some shows I recommend you start binge watching before the seasons over!

Monday:

The Blindspot

The show starts off with the police having to completely evacuate Times Square due to an unmarked bag. After more investigation, the bag is opened up and out comes this woman, later dubbed Jane Doe, with tattoos covering her body from head to toe. She is then brought to the FBI, specifically to special agent Kurt Weller, because his name is tattooed onto her back. The catch of the show is that Jane Doe does not remember anything of her past and has no clue why she was sent to the FBI or what any of her tattoos mean. The FBI team then realizes that each tattoo coincides with a crime that is going to be committed in the near future, pushing the team on exciting missions to prevent the crimes or catch the killer. This is a great show with many surprising twists and turns, and it is one of my favorites this season.

Tuesday

Scream Queens

This show is a witty take on every horror movie ever. In the wake of a string of murders on campus, the most "horrible" thing ever happens; the dean of the school announces that the top sorority, Kappa Kappa Tau, has to open its doors to anyone that wants to rush this sorority. This new rule ends up creating a very interesting pledge class of a bunch of misfits. There is also a scary character, the Red Devil, that is going around the campus brutally murdering many of the students. The girls of KKT take it upon themselves to figure out who's behind the Red Devil and make sure he can't strike again. This show has a mix of humor and bone-chilling horror.

Wednesday

American Horror Story: Hotel

This season of AHS focuses on the weird happenings in the Hotel Cortez. People go missing, people live forever, human blood is used as a means for survival. The best of all is that the mother of monsters herself, Lady Gaga, has a very interesting leading role. As usual, AHS has its twisted and nausea-inducing scenes that are so bizarre it's impossible to stop watching. There is so much going on this season that I can't even begin to explain its main premise. But trust me on this, it's scary good.

Thursday

Scandal

This show tells the story of Olivia Pope, a strong woman who fixes her elite clients' problems to ensure they can keep living lives. In the midst of fixing other people's lives, Pope finds herself in a very interesting romance with the most powerful man alive; the President of the US. This show has it all; romance, suspense, twists, and much more. I highly recommend binge watching this on Netflix, and trust me, it's so entertaining you will probably finish it in under a week.

The Blacklist

One day, the number one most wanted man walks into the FBI and surrenders. This man, known as Red, asks for Agent Keane, a low-level agent that was starting her job that day. Red tells the FBI about his 'Blacklist', which is a long list of high-level criminals. This Blacklist aids the FBI in catching the world's worst criminals. Behind the excitement of catching the criminals, there are many questions about Red and Keane's connection, and even more about Keane's personal life. This show comes with many twists and turns and many unexpected character developments.

Saturday

Saturday Night Live

While it has been on for 41 years, this show will always be a classic. Anyone that knows me knows that I am an avid SNL fan. This show is a collection of some of the funniest people in the world. It has the ability to cheer you up and make you laugh. It is truly amazing to watch all of the ridiculous skits that are so crazy that you just have to laugh.

Sunday

Once Upon a Time

While you might be a little unwilling to watch a show that is centered around fairytales, throw all of your preconceptions to the wind. This show presents the backstories to all of your favorite fairytales and changes how you think about every single one of them. The catch of this show is that for some unknown reason the Evil Queen cast a spell on all of the fairytale characters and transported them to modern times. But none of the characters remember their past lives, and it is up to a little boy and the 'Savior' to get the characters to remember their fairytales again.

The Walking Dead

This show is about more than just zombies taking over the world. It has drama and romance along with the guts and gore. This show has a way of getting its viewers so connected and invested in all of the characters. The catch of this show is you never know when your favorite character might die, so every week is just as exciting as the next.

While you definitely don't need to be as crazy as me and watch every show ever (I watch more than what is on this list), I hope you take the time to watch at least one of them!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
