I have always loved beauty and fashion. I could spend hours watching youtube tutorials. I think makeup/hair and fashion is an amazing thing because that is how someone presents and expresses themselves. You can tell a lot about a person's personality by how they carry themselves. When I first started getting into makeup I thought Sephora and MAC were the best cosmetics to buy. I would spend up to $300 on these tiny sizes of concealer, foundation, eyeshadow primer, and mascara. I realized that I couldn't be spending money like that anymore, so I set out on the quest to find makeup "dupes." Makeup dupes are makeup that looks just like the original but costs 10 times less. I then found E.L.F Cosmetics. E.L.F stands for "Eyes Lips Face." E.L.F literally has amazing makeup that is so inexpensive. I've fallen in love with this store, not just because of the prices but because the quality of their products are amazing. Now, I only go into Sephora if my girlfriends want to go, I usually tend to just try on the funky lipstick since my friends usually take hours in there. I have a few favorites from E.L.F and I wish I could just shove them in peoples faces so they could love them too.

1. e.l.f Mineral Infused Mascara

This mascara gives you so much length and makes your eyelashes super noticeable. Even though this isn't waterproof you can buy the waterproof mascara that can go right over this.

2. e.l.f Clay Eyeshadow Palette

I tend to shy away from huge eyeshadow palettes because I usually use one or two colors and the others go to waste. They usually go untouched. The good thing about the e.l.f palette is that they are small. I use all the colors, and they are heavily pigmented and smooth to put on.

3. e.l.f Eyebrow Kit

I have gone through endless eyebrow pencils, and gel. I've tried so many different companies in all different shades but nothing looked or felt natural to me. I recently bought this eyebrow kit and fell in love. The wax is super easy to apply and the powder blends in just right to lock the wax in.

4. e.l.f Brushes

I personally love the e.l.f brushes because they are durable. The bristles don't fall out, they are easy to wash, and they are super soft.

4. e.l.f Matte Lip Color

Matte lipstick is my holy grail. I love it so much. I own pretty much all of them. They glide across your lips effortlessly. The color is rich and also it doesn't dry out your lips. It has vitamins A,C, & E. I also just found out that the bottom comes off and becomes a sharpener. You learn something new everyday.

5. e.l.f Blush

This blush is sheer but blends into the skin nicely. Its not overly dramatic but its not too little. You can wear it alone or build it up as much as you'd like.

6. e.l.f Flawless Finish Foundation

This foundation is perfect for people like me who live with oily skin. It's oil free, its semi-matte, and it has SPF 15. This foundation makes your skin look healthier and brighter. You can add as much or as little as you want. Just make sure to blend!

7. e.l.f HD Lifting Concealer

This concealer has saved my butt so many times. Its covered all the zits and imperfections. It's good for what its supposed to do.

8. e.l.f Baked Highlighter

This highlighter will make all your friends say "YAS GIRL!" You will shine bright like a diamond. I have fallen head over heels for this highlighter. It's a staple for when I do my makeup. It makes you radiant. I honestly feel like I slay when I use this.

9. e.l.f Daily Brush Cleaner

I hate to say this but I fail to clean my brushes properly. I tend to just let them be. BUT. Since I've gotten this cleaner, I've cleaned my brushes everyday. You spray it after your done using the brush. It smells great and makes your brushes last longer!

10. e.l.f Mist & Set

Have you ever literally sweated off your makeup? Well, I have. It's bad. Real bad. Concealer doesn't feel nice in your eyes. I discovered this by accident actually. I found it in the clearance section of Target while I was looking for dry shampoo. This spray keeps your makeup in place until you wash it off.

11 11. e.l.f Blending Sponge

A beauty blender is $20 this one is $5 and works the same way. It blends out makeup perfectly. Its also washable and reusable!

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
