Last week was the premiere of the newest installment of the popular Disney movie series "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales." This film comes several years after the last in the series, certainly adding to the hype and anticipation fans have for some new pirating adventures. In commemoration of this next chapter, read on to review some of the best moments in the series thus far. Afterward, be sure to go check out the new movie in theaters!

Also, if you have not yet seen the first three of these films and don't want spoilers, stop right now!

1. The famous introduction

Undoubtedly one of the most iconic entrances of any protagonist in any movie ever, Captain Jack Sparrow's arrival in the first "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie symbolized just how cool, and hilarious, his character is.

2. The saddest scene in the entire series

I think we'd all be lying if we tried to say that Captain Jack Sparrow's death didn't shock us and make us all want to cry. What a scandal that whole situation was. I'm sure we're all very glad that he was brought back from the dead in the next movie.

3. "I'VE GOT A JAR OF DIRT"

For whatever reason, this was lowkey such a jam. After watching, this will definitely be stuck in your head foreverrrr.

4. The true testament of fame

Jack Sparrow certainly has a way of finding the silver lining in all situations. I'd love to be able to turn an insult into a compliment with that kind of ease.

5. This heartbreaking goodbye

For not being able to see each other except for once every ten years, they handled it pretty well. I'd be a mess.

6. Wedding goals

I suppose when you're unsure of whether or not you're going to survive the next five minutes, it's acceptable to have an impromptu pirate wedding mid-battle. I'm all for spontaneity, but maybe this is a bit much?

7. The (lack of) rules of the pirate life

Right from the start, it was established that pirates, although sometimes good people, should never be trusted wholeheartedly.

8. Is this really even possible?

I'm pretty sure this was on an episode of "Mythbusters," but I'm not 100% sure. Regardless, if this is a real possibility, I NEED to try it. Who's with me?

9. Never forget

If there is just one takeaway from this movie series, it should be the knowledge that one must always remember to refer to Jack Sparrow as captain. Otherwise, you're probably just going to be considered disrespectful, and I feel like that's not a good thing to be amongst pirates.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
