When Your Mom Is Your Best Friend

Every girl, no matter what, wants to have a good relationship with her mom. Not everybody is blessed with a good relationship and even when you are, there is always room to grow. I have been blessed with an amazing mom. I love her so much - she never lets me down.

Having a mom I know I can trust is so great. She is my absolute best friend in the world and I'm not embarrassed to say that. She is always there for me whether I am in a good or bad mood. She listens to me, loves me, and protects me. She always has my best interests in mind, even if it sometimes comes off as "controlling". Every mom should have the right to be a mother with an opinion.

My mom is protective of me, but she trusts me to make the right choice. Trust in a relationship is so important; it has taken us a long time to build that up.

My mom and I do so much together. We have similar interests, so whenever I'm home from college, we constantly do the same things. When I'm away from home, I miss her so much, it is always hard to say goodbye.

Having my mom be my best friend is one of the best things I could have asked for. Having somebody I can call at one in the morning and vent to so comforting. Having somebody who would never judge me is without doubt, a huge relief.

I love my mom forever and for always.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
