The Best Christmas Songs And Covers For December

1. Home for Christmas - Maria Mena

This is my absolute favorite song because for an international student like me, this has so much meaning and truth. Even if you aren't international, the words can still have a lot of depth and meaning to them for so many of us who either want to be home for christmas but can't or for those of us who long for a different home that they can't go to this christmas.

2. Carol of the Bells - Piano Guys

If you are like me and love the Piano Guys and they're incredible talent and beautiful elegance in playing the instruments they play, you ll love this amazing rendition of Carol of the Bells.

3. Silent Night - Rebecca Roubion

I literally downloaded Rebecca’s full acoustic album when I heard her sing this song. Her unique voice and acoustic sounding vibes are a great twist to many classic Christmas songs you've already heard.

4. Hallelujah - Pentatonix

When I first saw the music video of this on Youtube, I think I replayed it about five times in a row, it’s breathtaking! They are incredibly talented in general but their music videos can honestly give me shivers. Listen to the song and then go watch it on youtube!!!

5. White Christmas - Irving Berlin

Nothing is better than this classic Christmas song! Irving Berlin's handsome voice always makes me sing along too!

6. The First Noel - Frank Sinatra

Again with the lovely christmas classics, and its Frank Sinatra!

7. Let it snow - Boyz men II, Brian Mcknight

Now I must say this twist on this classic Christmas song is a great ‘dance in your fluffy socks near the fireplace song’! The boys really break it down but will also make you say amen at every vocal run and improp.

8. Christmas (baby please come home) -Michael Buble

Everybody's favorite classical singer with a voice that makes you feel as if you're listening to someone of an older generation! This song will never go off my christmas list.

9. Auld Lang Syne (Beta radio)

Robert Burns, the famous Scottish poet, wrote this song a while ago, now why should you listen to it? My mother makes my family sing this song every New Years for tradition! The words actually mean for ‘old times sake.’ It’s a beautiful traditional song and a fun folk song to listen to as well!

10. I Wish It Was Christmas Today - Julian Casablancas

A newer christmas song, this song is a nice modern pop/christmassy song to make you feel all jazzed up and ready for christmas. A kind of indie/acoustic vibe runs through this song too. A great listen for something different and refreshingly new.

11. Little Drummer Boy- Josh Groban and Andy Mckee

Everybody loves this Christmas basic, not to mention the amazing classic voices of Josh Groban and Andy Mckee. You will feel like an audience member in their classical concert!

What’s your favorite Christmas songs???? Let me know in the comments below!

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…
