Cereal is one of the greatest foods, and everyone knows which are the best ones.

Let me be real with you, I could eat cereal for every meal. It's great any time of day, be it morning, noon, or night. Not only is it a filling, delicious meal, but there are SO MANY WONDERFUL KINDS! If you're feeling fruity, chocolaty, you name it, there's a cereal with that flavor! While trying to pick favorites is seriously hard, I knew there needed to be a list of (what I think) are the best. Since I could talk about cereal all day, so here's my ranking of the classic types of magical goodness.

1. Cinnamon Life

Cinnamon Life is a top tier cereal. It is crunchy, full of the cinnamon flavor, and works with and without milk. Argue all you want, but you won't change my mind.

2. Honey Bunches of Oats

A classic, delicious cereal that makes you feel like you're eating healthy. Tbh, it doesn't really matter to me. I eat it because it tastes so good.

3. Fruity Pebbles/Cocoa Pebbles

Listen, these would be the best, but they get soggy in 0.2 seconds, so you have to be ready when you pour that milk in!

4. Cocoa Puffs

What can I say, I am definitely "cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs!" I love chocolate, so you can bet I love eating this one!

5. Captain Crunch

Captain Crunch is one that I like to eat with and without milk. My only criticism: the roof of my mouth is DESTROYED every time I eat it.

6. Frosted Flakes

These were always a go to for me growing up. They're sweet and crunchy and a well-made cereal. Well done, Tony the Tiger, well done.

7. Lucky Charms

Be honest, we eat this for the marshmallows.

8. Froot Loops

I love me some Froot Loops! They are like colorful Cheerios with the taste of Fruity Pebbles.

9. Cinnamon Toast Crunch

These are great because they make the milk taste like cinnamon! Gotta love that!

10. Trix

Ok, let's get one thing straight: Trix was better when the pieces were the shapes and not just the balls. It's fruity and sweet, but kind of boring compared to how it used to be.

11. Cookie Crisp

Because who doesn't want to eat cookies for breakfast? It might not be the best, but it definitely feels like a win for my childhood self, getting to eat dessert for breakfast.

12. Cheerios

I like Cheerios, both with and without milk. Give me the flavored Cheerios over the plain ones, though.

13. Rice Krispies

Don't get me wrong, I like the rice krispy treats, but this cereal doesn't actually taste good. It's plain, and it gets soggy really quickly. No snap, crackle, or pop is worth it to me.

14. Chex

It's just a plain version of Chex Mix without all the best parts.

15. Corn Pops

I used to eat these a lot when I was a kid, but they actually don't taste that great. They are a little waxy and not very good overall. Would I eat it in an emergency? Sure, but I wouldn't like it.

16. Special K

Listen, I don't eat cereal to lose weight, I eat it for the deliciousness. This is not delicious.

17. Raisin Bran

Don't eat it. Why would you eat it? Just stay away from it.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
