The Best And Worst Of "Bachelor In Paradise" Week Five

You laughed, you cried (but probably not as much as Ashley I)

You didn't really think I could let an entire season pass without dedicating at least one article to it, did you? We are one week away from the "Bachelor in Paradise" finale and it seems as though we've seen it all this season. Couples falling in love, couples falling out of love, men carrying lamps, a pair of twins pulling a "Parent Trap" moment. Everything. Although every episode has had it's fair share of memorable moments, this past week struck me as particularly great. So, from me to you, a list of the best (and a few of the worst) moments from week five.

Best: When Ashley's dog heard her prayer

I am most definitely the type of person to reach out to my deceased dog in times of need. This moment was incredible.

Best: When Ashley and Wells received a standing ovation

That may have been the most anticipated date in "Bachelor in Paradise" history.

Best: When Evan professed his love for Carly

I wasn't team Evan and Carly at first. But they're both weird and are falling in love with each other's weirdness and I kind of like it.

Worst: When Wells made out with literally everyone

I like Wells as much as the next person; we share a mutual adoration of music and tacos. But come on buddy, three girls in one day?

Best: When Amanda ditched Josh

Josh insisted they were going to be using that bed together, but Amanda was already passed out in her own room. Bummer for you, Josh!

Best: When Ashley and Wells had a surprise visitor on their date

This already cute date was made even more adorable by a stray island dog showing up and bringing out the dog-lover in both Ashley and Wells.

Worst: When Ashley COULD. NOT. MOVE. ON.

We get it, honey, but you forced Jared to leave. With Caila. So now we're mad.

Best: When Nick was honest with Josh

Yessss, go Nick! That time that he was completely honest and blunt with Josh about not trusting him and this is the face Josh made in response.

Best: When Daniel tried to woo all of the girls

This Canadian was super desperate for a rose. He even went out and got a lamp to give to Izzy. That's commitment.

Worst: The Twins' discussion with Amanda

Yes, they were good friends and warned Amanda about what everyone already knew about Josh, but it was nearly impossible to understand them through their sobbing. It was just a little too much.

Best: The awkwardness between Ashley and Caila

I am not a huge fan of either of these women, but I love the tension between them. Love. It.

Worst: Izzy's obsession with Brett's looks

I will forever be bitter about Izzy breaking up with Vinny. But the only thing Izzy ever says she likes about Brett is his physical attributes. Really? Was that really worth breaking Vinny's heart over?

We have just one week left before Paradise is over! Will anyone end up engaged? Will solid couples break up? Only time will tell. But one thing is for certain: It'll be the most "shocking season finale yet!"

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

“I just want you to know that you’re very special… and the only reason I’m telling you is that I don’t know if anyone else ever has.”

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
