Sometimes you encounter unexpected obstacles in life and all you need is a little guidance and hope, specifically from the person who has seen it all. This one person has the unique capacity to understand you like no other and make you begin to feel like everything is going to be OK. During my lowest points, I count on the advice of the person who knows me best: my best friend.

1. If it doesn't make you happy, it isn't worth it.

2. Have standards because who you give your attention to is important.

3. Don't be afraid to be vulnerable.

4. You don't need the validation of anyone but yourself.

5. Don't be scared of saying what you feel.

6. If something is bothering you, it matters.

7. It's okay to take time off to think and feel.

8. It's always better to be upfront.

9. Don't be afraid to demand what you need to be happy.

10. Don't assume things because you never know what might actually be happening.

11. There's nothing wrong with having feelings and acting on them.

12. If you want something, go for it, because your main goal in life is to be happy.

13. Nothing is as bad as it seems, and every moment is fleeting.

14. If it makes you happy, it makes me happy.
