Most kids from the 90’s played Pokemon, or at least watched it. It was everywhere you seemed to go. Back then, it seemed like you couldn’t go anywhere without someone having the cards. I collected the cards, watched the television show, and even saw a movie in theatres. Now, with the game Pokemon Go being released earlier this month, it seems you can’t go anywhere without someone being on their phone playing the game to. Just like most things Pokemon Go has benefits and negative effects as well.
The Good
1. Bringing The Community Together
Although it might seem that because of this game everyone is just on their phones again, it is actually much more than that. This game is bringing the people in society together. People are communicating about where they found certain Pokemon characters. They also are discussing other techniques and tips involving the game.
2. People Are Exercising
I don’t know when the last time I saw so many people out walking and exercising! It’s been a long time, but because of this game, people are getting up and outside.
3. People Have Something In Common And Are Meeting Others
Almost everyone has this game, or so it seems. It’s not hard to find someone that does have it. And because of this game, people are actually meeting and talking to others. And because of this game, more people are having more in common.
4. It Is Fun
Sometimes you just need to have some fun and this game is both fun and relaxing!
The Bad
1.People Aren’t Exactly Always Watching Where They Are Going
People aren’t always paying attention because of how focused they are on catching them all. And because people aren’t paying attention all the time, people are sometimes getting into some trouble and also sometimes getting hurt.
2. Sometimes People Are Going Into Businesses In Search Of Pokemon And Not Supporting The Business
A lot of businesses won't even let you use the bathroom if you are not a paying customer. So, what is the difference when it comes to Pokemon Go? I feel if you are going to look for Pokemon in a business, you should at least support that business while doing so.
3. People Are Losing Sleep Over This Game
I understand that you might want to catch them all, but sleep is also something important. It’s important for your health and your overall safety!
4. Because This Game Is So Popular The Server Tends To Crash A Lot
It is something very common to have the game crash.
And I mean a lot.
But, no matter the benefits or the negative effects of this game. I still am a supporter of Pokemon Go!
