The Start of something new.

Nothing ever comes easy, you have to work for what you want in life.

The Start of something new.

College hasn't been easy. Recently, it's been hard. It's felt strange to be somewhere new all day. It's felt weird to try and meet new people, feel like we don't connect.

But here's the surprising part, it will get better. Soon enough, I'll be an hour away from home, I'll be away an hour for college but I won't be alone. I'll meet new people. I'll work for my career. I'll try just as hard as I did in high school, just as hard as any other student.

Life is just beginning. The road to success is beginning. The joys of growing up are still happening. The tears, laughs, countless hours in the library will be worth it.

It's time. It's time for me to move an hour away. It's time for me to try new things, meet new people. It's time to try something new in a different atmosphere. Morehead is just the new beginning for my life. I know God has a plan for my life by sending me there. He wants me to be at a small college, in a small city. He wants me to meet new people, try new things. But one thing for sure, he doesn't want me to forget the people who have guided me, loved me for all theses years. Life is up to me now.

Sure, I can be proud of my accomplishments, as I should, as other people around me are proud of me. Sure, it won't easy but nothing ever comes easy, You have to work for what you want in life.

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
