The definition of philosophy is therationalinvestigationofthetruthsandprinciplesofbeing, knowledge, orconduct. That's far from a simple concept, however, it is one that I deem very worthy of being explored.
When I think of philosophy I think the study of life, the study of why and how everything could be the way it seems. The thing about it that deters a lot of people from it is the lack of definite answers, however at the same time that is also the essence of it.Sometimes you need to ask yourself If there is no definite accurate answer would I rather exercise my brain exploring possibilities but potentially overwork it while it thinks in circles, or would I rather avoid these thoughts altogether. I personally think the path that explores all of these ideas is very worth taking.
Philosophy is full of beautiful, raw, thought-provoking ideas put into intellectual, while still comprehensible diction by some incredible people. There are so many readings, and so many different theories, so many quotes, and so many different explanations for the same thing. You can choose for yourself which ideas you viscerally connect with the most. It's amazing to be able to keep an open mind and view the world through so many different lenses with so many different perspectives.
One of my favorite branches of philosophy is ethics, which is the study of moral philosophy. It elaborates on what is right and wrong, as well as how to differentiate between the two. It traces back to human nature, the human mind, and human tendencies. To me, it is very interesting to analyze what is morally acceptable and how philosophers consider to be a successful and moral way to live your life.
Overall, philosophy is always going to be something that interests me and something I'll continue to explore and I recommend it to everyone.
