"I see Your face in every sunrise
The colors of the morning are inside Your eyes
The world awakens in the light of the day
I look up to the sky and say
You're beautiful
I see Your power in the moonlit night
Where planets are in motion and galaxies are bright
We are amazed in the light of the stars
It's all proclaiming who You are
You're beautiful..."
You're Beautiful, Phil Wickham
Let this serve as a small reminder of the beauty of God. My article could never do Him justice. No form of words could ever communicate the immense splendor of the God of the Universe, who loves His people.
Job 12:7-10 says, "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind." (NIV).
I believe all of creation shows the magnificence of God. Have you ever stood on the beach shore? For me, it's so perfect. The sand, the way the waves crash into it, the wind, the comforting smell of the air, and the purity of the sky and how the water meets the horizon. I just love sitting on the beach and soaking in the beauty.
Have you ever gone into the forest to unwind? Have you ever noticed the perfection of the way the sunlight filters through the leaves? How the animals know their place and thrive? The creativity of it all completely astounds me.
Have you ever admired a person? Next time you're with someone, watch them. The way a smile reaches the eyes, the way the face moves in harmony with words. How about when someone is so completely overjoyed that all they can do is erupt with laughter? The Creator gave us such a special gift when He put that in our hearts.
Psalm 148:13: "Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens." (NIV).
How can we not marvel at the beauty of God?
Luke 19:37-40: "When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: 'Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!' 'Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!' Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, 'Teacher, rebuke your disciples!' 'I tell you,' he replied, 'if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.'" (NIV).
I take the bible literally. I believe that when Jesus said if we don't praise His name, the stones will, He meant it! What is cooler than that?
This has barely even touched on the unimaginable beauty of God. I strongly encourage you to pray, read His word, and get a broader picture of all that He is.
