The Beauty In Life

In life, we need to learn to see the beauty that surrounds us each and every day. When we think of beauty we often think of scenic views overlooking the ocean, or mountains standing tall in the distance with snowy peaks high in the clouds. Do you ever stop and think that there is beauty everywhere you go?

Walking down the street, the way the lights shine on a street sign might look beautiful. The glimmer in the eyes of happy person is beauty. The way the pavement sparkles as the sun beams upon it, and how the clouds differ each day are both so lovely. You do not have to travel the world to see the overwhelming artistry provided daily.

You can step outside onto your front porch, and see the way the trees seem to wave in the breeze, and sound almost like a waterfall as they brush against one another. The life witnessed as the birds fly from tree to tree and the squirrels race across the grass is charming. The variety of sunsets that envelop the evening sky are so unbelievably stunning.

God created such a beautiful and awe inspiring world for us to live in, and we need to appreciate the craft put into it. Yes, traveling and seeing the beauty others experience is wonderful and grows you, but to see beauty all you truly have to do is open your eyes to what is all around you.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
