In this day in age, everyone’s voice serves an ultimate purpose, and that is to make a difference. It could be to make a difference in one persons life or to make a difference in a group of individuals lives. Either way, everyone’s voice is important, it needed to grow and cultivate our ever changing culture, but what happens after someone takes your voice? Is everyone really destined to make a difference?

In my opinion, everyone’s voice is destined to make a difference. Everyone is important enough to someone to create a noise within their should that will guide them to greatness. It could the friend that knows you and your needs best, your parents guiding you to your future, or your role model (fictional or realistic) showing you what your true ambitions really are. These are the people that want your voice to be heard, they want it to be singing in their ears that they can make a difference.

Beauty always has its dark side, and sometimes that darkness can take your world and smash it to pieces. Your voice that used to represent a bold, beautiful message can turn into soft murmurs in the distance. How do I know? For twenty- two years I’ve let two people take my voice after I was sexually assaulted over ten years ago. The person I was before is gone, and I let the old me die along with my voice. I chose to be silent, to be scared of everything. I let myself be a victim and think that every bad thing that happened to me was because I was damaged. I even let people make me feel like I was nothing more than a damaged, worthless soul. That’s when I realized recently I am more than a victim. I am a survivor, like every victim of sexual assault is. You know why? We made it through that traumatic experience. We made it through to make a difference in someone else’s life. We all made, and we will be the voices of change in this world.

No matter what in life brings you down, remember this, that your purpose is to bring up someone who is battling the same battle you are. It could be minor like trying to be the best at something, or it could be major like fighting past demons. Once you fight those demons and see the beauty that your own words can bring to this world. Well, that just the beauty in finding your voice

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
