I feel as if by our own human nature, whether you want to categorize it as a flaw or not, we tend to picture out lives going a particular direction. Some of us have everything all planned out in our heads of the "ideal life" we want to end up living.
Rarely do we end up in the place that we initially planned, and you know what? As i've grown and matured and experienced the world more, i've come to realize that this is a good thing. A great thing even!
Life has this crazy way of making everything work out in the end.
We often meet the most unexpected people at the most unexpected times and create the most unexpected relationships.
A lot of unexpectedness am I right?
But that's the beauty of it. The people and things we never see coming are the ones that usually surprise us the most in the most fantastic ways.
The key to jumping into all this unexpectedness is trusting that everything will work out. This, more often than not, is indescribably difficult to do, but I cant even begin to explain its pay off.
You don't always need a plan. Sometimes all you need to do is trust, breathe, let go, and see what beautiful thing comes your way (do this in that exact order).
Have faith that whatever is next for you, is best for you.
Here's a poem I wrote titled "Unexpected"
Your heart doesn't need a map to point you into the right direction
It'll follow the course its meant to go despite a concern or objection
Be patient, like that of a puzzle life takes awhile for all its pieces to fall into place
Just like the tortoise and the hare, its not always the fastest that tend to win the race
Sometimes on the path towards a dream you get lost and find something better
It surprises you and brings you joy, like receiving in the mail an unforseen letter
Trust in the unexpected and don't be afraid to travel to unfamiliar places
It will almost always set you straight just like that of teeth and braces
So next time you arent sure if you should take that next step or go the extra mile
Just remember, your happiness will always out weigh any hardship or trial
