The chicken nugget is a classic go-to at any fast food restaurant. But the real question here is, who does it the best? I've had just about every chicken nugget out there and basically consider myself an expert at this point. I'll present you the facts and by the end you can decide for yourself.
The Wendy's Chicken Nugget
Ah, Wendy's nugs. Every time you go to Wendy's and order that 10 piece you know it's going to taste exactly the same as it did the last time you swung through the drive-thru. The breading is always crispy and has a nice seasoned flavor to it. The chicken itself is tender, loving and goes with any sauce of your choice. Not to mention, sometimes one pops in there with a heart shape and you know that's where you're supposed to be in that moment.
The McDonald's Chicken Nugget
The classic childhood favorite that you screamed for in your car seat. The grey meat, the sometimes soggy breading - that didn't stop you. I'll give it to McDonald's though, they've really stepped their nugget game up because the "chicken" (I think?) is actually white and resembles chicken now. The breading game has stepped up too because now it's golden and crispy instead of still a little soggy. They don't have any cool shapes like Wendy's, but they are just the perfect size to dunk in your sauce tub. (Which they have, like, zillions of choices am I right?)
Of course, there are more chicken nuggets from other fast food restaurants but these two seem to be the most debated over. Take the poll below and tell me your feelings on who has the best nug!
