In our society we see things as linear:
Birth,
Childhood,
Adolescence,
Adulthood,
and Death.
Once you get past one stage, you are expected
To act a certain way
But
I see no point in suppressing the inner child
Or letting it take over
Life is about balance;
the yin and yang,
the light and the dark.
The inner child sees pictures in clouds
likes coloring books
and believes in superheroes.
The adult pays bills
goes to work
and is responsible.
One without the other would be chaos
So why do we feel the need to be one or the other?
